Ms. Hutchison conducts regulatory analyses for both private health care entities and governmental organizations such as CMS and NIH in a variety of areas, including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, risk assessment and corporate compliance. She assists clients in the research, development and implementation of compliance programs, strategic plans, risk assessments, Medicare and Medicaid fraud detection, and Medicaid Integrity protocols. She developed a risk management approach using ComplyTrack™ software and has assisted numerous clients develop and implement risk management. Ms. Hutchison manages the development and implementation of the Compliance Resource Center, which includes compliance program modules, a module on policies and procedures, a sanction screening module, and a risk management module. Additionally, she works with clients to help them develop audit protocols, review compliance with numerous regulations, and detect Medicare and Medicaid fraud, waste and abuse. She also develops and manages data analysis projects and develops recommendations to improve compliance.

In addition to her consulting role, Ms. Hutchison manages a team of regulatory analysts who perform detailed research and analysis for numerous health care entities and research organizations. She also engages in business development efforts and conducts training on topics such as regulatory research, coding, regulatory analysis, and health care compliance.

PREVIOUS WORK
Prior to joining Strategic Management, Ms. Hutchison worked as a health policy analyst at the Centers for Law and the Public’s Health at Georgetown and Johns Hopkins Universities. She co-authored and contributed to multiple reports for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, as well as the book Public Health Law: Power, Duty, Restraint. She also assisted graduate level students with their theses, developed a course on Global Health Law and Policy, and delivered guest lectures.
